Aims

• Research in drug discovery and development enables the identification of new drug targets and therapeutics
• The focus of the study is in the preclinical area of drug development
• The programme operates on the interface between the fields of pharmaceutical chemistry and technology, pharmacology, biological sciences and in silico methods
• The program also promotes the interdisciplinary networking of pharmacy, biology, chemistry and nutritional sciences
• Students will be provided with a programme of study tailored to their personal skills and interests, with flexibility being offered by the opportunity to undertake directed individual study courses. The students will be offered the opportunity to specialise according to their interests

Graduates

• Training of graduates, who are able to deal with current research questions in the field of drug development using modern methods
• It equips graduates to pursue careers in pharm. industries, in the public or non-governmental sectors or to continue to PhD level
